Those Summer Nights....

In the depths of winter, it's a good time to be reminded that outdoor music on a summer night is about as good as it gets. The video below is from August 7, 2006 at the Mad Rock Pub in Sioux Falls. We opened that night for Shooter Jennings but sadly it was the last show at the Mad Rock. Can't wait for longer days and warm nights of outdoor music this year!

Roamin' the plains, looking for a Tin Shack Mansion

Snakebeard still roam the plains with its own brand of music. Here are some lyrics to one of our songs:

I’m living in a Tin Shack Mansion
The sun shines in my kitchen each day
Outside a young dog be barking
At the coyotes, the moon and the bay.

Even though our door be made of thin tin
Even though the land be hot and dry
At least we know our roof won’t be dripping
Cause its love and only love that gets us by.

You don’t need a sidearm around the house
If its only kindness you put out
Unless to keep the G-Man away
From what you got growing near the hay.

Living in a Tin Shack mansion.

Bluegrass Breakdown in Yankton

Check out the Bluegrass Breakdown below from another great weekend in Yankton at the Chateau. Thanks to Sam White for his great hospitality (and great food by the way), thanks to all of our Yankton friends, fans and family for coming out to the shows and thanks to all the rest of you who showed up in support. You are why we play. Another little taste below in video form. These YouTube videos are to share a moment from a show, not show the quality of the music...for that can only be attained at a live Snakebeard Jackson show.
